Lesion Descriptions

Treatable lesions & blemishes.

Skin Tags - Benign growth of the skin that are commonly found in areas of friction such as the neckline, eyes, underarms and chest. They have a stalk-like attachment to a round, fleshy bulb tip. They vary in size and colour They are quickly and effectively removed on the day of treatment using advanced electrolysis methods.

Seborrheic Keratosis - These have a dry, rough, scaly, matt apperance and range from skin colour to dark brown. They almost look like a stretched mole and can be found as a single lesion or in groups. They appear with age but are hereditary too. They are found anywhere on the body including arms, face, back, tummy and chest. Various techniques can be used to effectively remove them.

Thread Veins/Spider Naevi - These are vessels that vary in size. For various reasons these can become permanently dilated, causing them to appear more prominently. Factors such as age, sunshine, ageing, hormones and flushing skin, trauma, weather conditions contribute to their development. These are often found on the face. We use diathermy as a method of reduction. This cauterisation of the blood vessels helps improve the apperance. Multiple sessions are required.

Milia - These are often small, hard white spots commonly round the eyes. They sit very superficially under the skin and contain keratin. Commonly found in dehydrated skin types. They are easily treated with minimal pain or discomfort. Often require multiple sessions.

Blood Spots, Campbell de Morgan, Cherry Angiomas - These are small benign red blood blemishes and are found anywhere on the body. They vary in size and shape from flat to raised blemishes. Factors such as age, genetics and sun exposure contribute to their development. Using diathermy these can be cauterised which is then effectively dispersed through the body. Often require multiple sessions.

Raised Moles - A G.P Letter of Consent is required before treatment can commence. We can only flatten a raised mole. Moles can vary in size and colour and often develop in teen years. Genetic factors and sun exposure contribute to their development. Any changes to new moles must be assessed by a G.P.  Moles can be effectively reduced using our diathermy methods.
